Heirloom XL Hand-Turned Irish Sycamore Nesting & Newborn Photography Bowl
Discover a true statement piece of monumental scale with this heirloom-quality, XXL hand-turned Sycamore bowl. Sculpted with immense patience in my County Meath workshop from a massive log of native Irish Sycamore, this bowl is celebrated for its silky, fine grain and creamy-pale timber tones.
The soul of this piece lies in the dramatic, sweeping golden-amber knot and natural bark feature running down the exterior wall—a gorgeous, rustic birthmark from the original tree. It has been turned with a focus on generous depth, sweeping curves, and an exceptionally wide, smooth base and rim. This solid, substantial proportions make it highly stable and perfectly suited as a luxury, rustic nesting prop for newborn baby photoshoot sessions.
When not capturing unforgettable family memories, its grand scale makes it a magnificent standalone floor sculpture, a breathtaking rustic fruit centerpiece for a kitchen island, or an extraordinary heirloom gift.

Caring for your piece
Every piece is finished with natural, food-safe oil. Wipe it clean with a damp cloth and dry it straight away. Never put it in the dishwasher or leave it soaking. Every few months, rub in a little food-safe mineral oil or board butter to keep the grain fed and the colour deep. Looked after this way it will last for generations.
