Hand-Turned Large Irish Ash Fruit Bowl with Resin Inlay
Celebrate the striking, raw beauty of native Irish timber with this statement centerpiece bowl. Hand-turned in my County Meath workshop, this piece is crafted from a spectacular block of Irish Ash, known for its bright tones and deep, elegant grain ripples.
The true soul of this piece lies in its dramatic, natural bark inclusion. Rather than cutting around it, I have celebrated this organic feature by stabilizing the hollow pocket with a smooth, premium resin inlay. This intricate process locks in the wild, dark character of the bark while creating a flawlessly smooth interior surface that is perfectly safe for everyday use.
With its generous size and unique, eye-catching focal point, this bowl makes a magnificent fruit display or a standalone art piece for a countertop or dining table. It is a true one-of-a-kind creation that brings a piece of Irish heritage into your home.

Caring for your piece
Every piece is finished with natural, food-safe oil. Wipe it clean with a damp cloth and dry it straight away. Never put it in the dishwasher or leave it soaking. Every few months, rub in a little food-safe mineral oil or board butter to keep the grain fed and the colour deep. Looked after this way it will last for generations.
