Hand-Turned Irish Ash Bowl with Light Spalting Detailing
Celebrate the unique artistry of nature with this beautifully hand-turned Irish Ash bowl. Hand-sculpted in my County Meath workshop, this piece is turned from native Ash timber featuring spectacular honey-golden grain ripples and a very rare, subtle touch of natural spalting.
The true charm of this bowl lies in the delicate, dark mineral lines cutting elegantly through the wood. These fine “spalting” tracks are natural patterns formed over time as the timber seasoned, acting like nature’s own ink drawings.
Perfect as a decorative centerpiece, a beautiful key holder in an entryway, or a special gift for an art lover, this one-of-a-kind bowl brings a stunning piece of Irish woodland history into any home.

Caring for your piece
Every piece is finished with natural, food-safe oil. Wipe it clean with a damp cloth and dry it straight away. Never put it in the dishwasher or leave it soaking. Every few months, rub in a little food-safe mineral oil or board butter to keep the grain fed and the colour deep. Looked after this way it will last for generations.
