Rare 15” Hand-Turned Artistic Irish Yew Statement Bowl
Own a truly magnificent piece of Irish heritage with this large, hand-turned statement bowl. Crafted in my County Meath workshop from a highly prized, slowly matured block of native Irish Yew, this 15-inch bowl is a rare collector’s piece that commands attention in any room.
The timber displays an extraordinary, shimmering grain pattern with rich amber, deep orange, and cream tones swirling together. A striking feature of this bowl is the natural hollow opening near the rim—a beautiful testament to the organic growth and untamed spirit of the tree. Rather than cutting this feature away, I have carefully stabilized and polished it to serve as a dramatic, artistic focal point.
Due to the slow growth rate of Irish Yew, finding a solid piece of this grand scale is an absolute rarity. It stands as a majestic heirloom piece, perfect as a luxury centerpiece for a dining room table or an art display on a mantle.

Caring for your piece
Every piece is finished with natural, food-safe oil. Wipe it clean with a damp cloth and dry it straight away. Never put it in the dishwasher or leave it soaking. Every few months, rub in a little food-safe mineral oil or board butter to keep the grain fed and the colour deep. Looked after this way it will last for generations.
